ObnoXiouS is a Dutch band characterized by their energetic riffs, infectious grooves and melodic solos. Since the formation in 2020, the quartet has drawn inspiration from all over the scene, from modern metal to classic rock.
'Like mixing Red Bull with the devil!'
It all started a few years ago when vocalist/guitarist Jeff decided he wanted to start a band. Growing up with a passion for music, he desired to share his love for music with others. Soon he found someone similar to him, bassist Duco. Now they needed a drummer, that’s when Daan came in. Daan had stumbled upon an old advertisement on a music forum reading 'Metal band from Arnhem looking for a drummer'. He replied, auditioned and became the new drummer for Obnoxious. However, the band still wasn’t complete without guitarist Max, who Jeff already knew from their shared audio engineering study. With the band finally all together they established their unmistakable fast and energetic sound. Influences ranging from Megadeth to Green Day, ObnoXiouS doesn't stick to one genre. Thrash metal, hardrock, punk or grunge, nothing is off limits for these guys! Having played all over the Netherlands they are ready to share their music with a broader audience.
Following their debut single 'Thy Devils Road' the band released their first EP 'Spread the Virus' on March 4th. An EP solely produced by Max consisting of songs that have been written by Jeff at the age of 16. This record was followed up by the two singles 'Last Stand' and 'To Eat (is the Treat)'. The band is currently working on their very first, unannounced studio album.
Today Jeff, Duco, Daan and Max, all in their twenties are continuing to Spread the Virus.
